Our journey kicks off at around 06:30 a.m., departing from Santiago and heading towards Cajón del Maipo, an awe-inspiring Andean gorge situated 900 meters above sea level in Santiago's Pre-Cordillera. This destination is famed for its natural beauty and adventure opportunities. Nestled amidst the mountains, this charming area will captivate you with its local culture and the variety of traditional cuisine available along the route.
We'll pause for breakfast at one of the local eateries (not included in the tour price) before continuing our journey to Las Cascadas.
As we traverse Cajón del Maipo, we'll be treated to breathtaking panoramic vistas of snow-dusted mountains, flowing rivers, and lush greenery. The crisp air and stunning scenery will envelop us as we venture deeper into the mountain range.
The excursion's pinnacle is a visit to the breathtaking El Yeso Reservoir, a mesmerizing turquoise body of water flanked by towering peaks. We'll also explore the Hidden Waterfall, where the vibrant blue of the water contrasts strikingly with the snowy white and verdant green surroundings.
