Descripción del Tour:
Our thrilling journey kicks off with a check-in at the lobby of Hotel Lago Grey one hour before our departure. The timings and frequency vary with the seasons.
After completing check-in, we'll embark on a 40-minute walk, covering around 3 km along Gray Beach from the hotel to board the Catamaran Gray III. Here, our picturesque tour begins as we sail from the Gray area of Torres del Paine National Park toward the terminus of the Southern Ice Field, where the magnificent Grey Glacier awaits.
Onboard the Grey III vessel, we will explore the glacier. This majestic glacier boasts an ice wall approximately 40 meters high, with stunning blue hues that create a breathtaking natural panorama. We'll also witness numerous floating icebergs with various formations, perfect for contemplation and photography.
After about 45 minutes of navigation, we'll approach the glacier, which is split by a central island where we may disembark if weather and wind conditions allow.
This opportunity allows us to fully appreciate the vast expanse of crevices and formations that make up the drifter. Occasionally, large ice collapses can occur, which might prevent the Gray III from sailing further, but it offers the chance to experience zodiac navigation—another thrilling way to enjoy this adventure.
The expedition to Gray Glacier across the lake's waters lasts approximately 3 hours and includes a complimentary drink per person (pisco sour, beverage, or juice).
During our voyage, we might encounter challenging weather conditions, primarily strong winds, which could make the journey even more exhilarating. Rest assured, our dedicated team on board will ensure your experience remains unforgettable.
After an unforgettable adventure, we'll return to the dock, carrying with us the awe of witnessing nature's grandeur in its pure splendor. This navigation on Gray Lake offers a unique chance to connect with the natural beauty and scale of the glaciers.
