Today, we embark on a thrilling journey to connect with nature through a private Horseback Riding to the Morado Glacier adventure. Located just 110 km from Santiago, we will traverse the enchanting Cajón del Maipo, venturing deep into the heart of the El Morado National Monument Natural Park. Here, we'll explore its majestic hills and the renowned Cerro El Morado, which, standing at 5,060 meters above sea level, lends its name to the park.
Our day kicks off as we depart from Santiago towards Cajón del Arenas at around 7:00 a.m. The winding roads offer captivating vistas, setting the stage for the adventure that awaits us amidst the Andes Mountains.
By approximately 10:00 a.m., we will reach the Cajón del Maipo, the starting point for this exhilarating horseback ride. Here, we'll meet our trusty steeds and receive a safety briefing to prepare us for the journey ahead.
After about 3 hours of riding, we will arrive at the Morado Glacier, where we will witness the stunning lagoon beneath the Hanging Glacier. In this unique natural setting, at around 1:30 p.m., we'll savor a delicious and revitalizing box lunch.
