Descripción del Tour:

Today marks the beginning of our exciting journey, as we set off around 7:00 a.m. from your hotel in Santiago. Our destination is the Aconcagua Valley, a majestic mountain basin situated approximately 90 km from the city.

Traveling north, we'll reach the quaint rural town of Olmué and then continue on to La Campana National Park. Our arrival at the park is expected around 9 AM. Following the footsteps of Charles Darwin, who explored La Campana National Park in August 1834, we will discover this extraordinary place, recognized by UNESCO as a "World Biosphere Reserve". This designation helps protect a unique ecosystem rich in diverse native flora and fauna, alongside its local community. Some of the palm trees here are an astounding 400 years old!

La Campana National Park primarily aims to preserve the Chilean Palm (Jubaea Chilensis), the southernmost palm species globally. This palm is currently endangered due to historical overexploitation for palm honey production, which began during the colonial era as a substitute for sugarcane used in Central America and the Caribbean.

After receiving essential safety guidelines, we'll embark on our trek to the summit of Cerro la Campana. We will take the 12-km round-trip La Cascada Trail, leading us to a viewpoint with a stunning 30-meter waterfall, lending the trail its name. This natural marvel also serves as a reminder of the significant climate changes impacting our world. Despite these changes, the area's breathtaking and unique beauty remains undiminished.

Upon returning to our starting point, we'll enjoy a delightful glass of Chilean wine and cheese, capping off one of central Chile's most picturesque treks.

In summary, trekking in La Campana National Park provides an unparalleled chance to delve into Chile's natural splendor, explore varied and challenging trails, and admire the stunning vistas from the summit of La Campana Hill. Whether you're an experienced hiker or a nature enthusiast seeking new adventures, this national park is bound to leave you in awe.

We look forward to seeing you!
