Today, we'll embark on an adventure through the charming and scenic Casablanca Valley, a key wine-producing region in central Chile.
We'll depart from our hotel around 9:00 am, heading along Route 68 to reach the Casablanca Valley. Our itinerary includes visits to two boutique vineyards, where you'll have the opportunity to sample uncommon varieties like "Sangiovese" and "Carignan", alongside fresh takes on traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Syrah.
We'll delve into the renowned wineries of Casablanca Valley, gaining insights into the artistry and science involved in crafting world-class wines. Discover the blend of modern winemaking techniques and artisanal care that breathes life into every bottle.
During our tour, we'll visit two vineyards. While specific boutique or family-owned wineries may vary based on availability, rest assured that the experience will be uniquely memorable.
Viña Villard, established in 1989 by Thierry Villard in the Casablanca Valley, holds the title of Chile's first boutique winery. For over 30 years, Viña Villard has been acclaimed as a top winery in the valley. For more than a decade, the second generation of the family, with a deep understanding of the land and terroir, has been pioneering new winemaking techniques to produce super-premium wines of remarkable structure and elegance. Their standout wines include "Tanagra", a flawless Syrah, and "Arganat", a refined and vibrant Chardonnay.
Viña Casas del Bosque, another family-owned gem, was founded in 1993 in the heart of the Casablanca Valley. Utilizing cutting-edge technology throughout the winemaking process, it has consistently been rated among the world's top vineyards for its exceptional wine tourism, offering exclusive wine and culinary experiences, along with premium wines known for their freshness and distinctiveness. Viña Recova, situated in one of the coldest and most secluded parts of the Casablanca Valley, is a boutique winery focusing on human-scale production of Sauvignon Blanc.
