Descripción del Tour

Today marks the beginning of our exciting journey, gathering at 9:30 am and departing from the central meeting point in Hanga Roa.
Our first destination is Ana Kai Tangata, a historically rich and easily accessible cave in Rapa Nui. Here, you'll marvel at the artistic depictions of birds, symbolizing the Manutara (sea swallows), whose valuable egg was the focal point of the celebrated "Bird Man" annual competition.
Next, we'll explore the ceremonial site of Ahu Vinapu, home to impressive basalt slabs uniquely fitted in a style reminiscent of Inca architecture in Cuzco. Such stone craftsmanship is unparalleled elsewhere in Polynesia.
After listening to a few captivating local legends, we'll proceed to visit the majestic Rano Kau Volcano, one of the island's three significant volcanic cones. It boasts a picturesque lagoon adorned with small totora reed islands, flourishing vegetation, and diverse microfauna.
Our final stop is at the Orongo Ceremonial Village, the site of the renowned Birdman Ceremony. This ceremony was crucial in determining the spiritual and political leader, alongside the King, for a year. The revered figure, portrayed as a human with a bird's beak, is intricately carved on numerous stones.
Following our exploration of Orongo, we'll return to Hanga Roa, where you'll have time to enjoy lunch and a leisurely afternoon.
This will be a memorable experience enriched with culture, tales, and unforgettable moments.
We look forward to seeing you. Don't miss out!
