Descripción del Tour

Our journey today begins with a visit to Ahu Vaihu and Akahanga. The ahu are sacred sites featuring stone platforms or altars where clusters of moai statues are situated. Nestled along cliffs with the ocean waves crashing against them, Ahu Vaihu presents a breathtaking view. Meanwhile, the Ahu Akahanga area remains in its original state, offering a glimpse into how the first explorers found the island.

Next, we proceed to Rano Raraku, a fascinating volcanic crater formed from solidified ash, which houses a serene lagoon. This site is where the enigmatic moai were sculpted, with 397 statues still in various stages of completion.

Our exploration continues at Ahu Tongariki, a grand 200-meter-long ceremonial platform that showcases 15 magnificent moai. We will also explore Ahu Te Pito Kura, home to the impressive Moai Paro, the island's largest statue, standing 10 meters tall and weighing 85 tons.

This location also features a large spherical stone known as Te Pito o Te Henua, often referred to as the navel of the world.

To conclude our day on a high note, we will unwind with a drink at Anakena, the island’s most renowned beach. Beyond its natural allure, a remarkable row of moai faces the sea, adding a unique charm. Here, you can enjoy your lunch or box lunch (not included, but available upon request).

Following this, we will return to the heart of Hanga Roa or your hotel, according to your preference.
