Tour Description
We'll kick off our day by leaving the passenger hotels in Castro and heading north towards the quaint town of Quemchi, our gateway to the Chaiguen Adventure Park. Here, we'll embark on a journey through the native forest trails, where you'll find an abundance of myrtles, tepas, cinnamon trees, and ulmos, ultimately leading us to the stunning Chaiguen River waterfall.
For those seeking a thrill, there's an opportunity to engage in activities such as canopy, rappel, or kayak. We'll spend two hours within the park, so let's make sure to make every moment count!
Our adventure continues southward as we visit the charming island of Aucar, accessible via a 400-meter wooden footbridge. Here, we'll explore a botanical garden, an ancient cemetery, and a wooden chapel, allowing us to delve into the island's rich history.
Following our exploration of Aucar, we'll head to Tenaun. Here, you'll have the option to enjoy a delicious lunch at Agroturismo Mirella, where you can savor local specialties. Additionally, there will be time to explore the town and its unique church, distinguished by its three towers.
Post-lunch, we'll rejoin the main road and take a detour to witness the breathtaking Tocoihue waterfall, the tallest in Chiloé, featuring a magnificent 40-meter cascade.
As our day concludes, we'll return to the passengers' hotels in Castro.
