Embark on a journey with us through the breathtaking altiplanic routes starting from the city of Iquique, and immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes this remarkable tour presents!
We'll explore the magnificent Giant Geoglyph of Tarapacá and delve into its fascinating history. Our adventure continues to the Geysers of Puchuldiza, a mesmerizing natural display within the geothermal field. Additionally, we will discover various altiplanic towns in the vicinity, where we can gain insights into their rich culture and observe the impressive regional fauna, including flamingos, geese, taguas, and guallatas.
Tour Description
Our journey kicks off with pickups from designated hotels around 7:30 AM, heading first to the impressive Geoglyph of Tarapaca, which stands at an astounding 86 meters tall.
Next, we proceed to the Puchuldiza Geysers, renowned as one of the tour's most breathtaking locations. Here, we'll witness the impressive 85°C water jets up close.
Our adventure continues as we explore the Altiplanic villages of Encuelga, Manque, the Lagoon, and the Salar de Aravilla. These stops offer the opportunity to encounter a diverse array of local fauna, creating a truly memorable experience during the excursion.
The tour culminates at Isluga, featuring its historic 18th-century church. We'll also visit the border town of Colchane, where you can savor a delightful lunch (not included).
Once the tour concludes, we will return to our selected hotels in Iquique by 9 PM.
