Tour Description
We will depart from our hotels in Iquique around 8 AM to visit the renowned Salitrera Humberstone and Santa Laura. In these fascinating "ghost towns", we will delve into the history of the "white gold" and explore the pivotal role that the saltpeter mines played in Chilean history as we tour the site.
Our journey continues to the town of La Tirana and the town of Mantilla, where we will immerse ourselves in the religious and cultural traditions unique to the region.
Post-lunch (not included), we will head to the town of Pica, where we can indulge in its semi-thermal waters (entrance fee not included). This oasis stands out as one of the most significant, nestled amidst the world's driest desert.
Following this remarkable day, we will return to our designated hotels in Arica at approximately 6 PM.
