Tour Description
Our adventure kicks off bright and early at approximately 5:30 AM as we set out from Coyhaique toward a picturesque Patagonian ranch, just as the first light of dawn begins to grace the sky. We’ll navigate the ranch's internal trails to reach "Las Condoreras" at the break of dawn. Here, we'll step out of our vehicles and quietly traverse a short distance on foot to witness our main attraction, "The Condor," in its natural surroundings from the lofty cliffs. Against the stunning backdrop of the Valley of the Moon during this breathtaking sunrise, we'll have the opportunity to observe and capture images of the condors as they begin their day, from an impressively close vantage point. As these majestic birds glide above us, we'll be guided in identifying them by gender and age, uncovering fascinating insights into their survival strategies in the region, and learning essential details about their lifecycle and reproduction, all thanks to our knowledgeable guides.
Following this mesmerizing experience, we’ll make our way back to Coyhaique, with stops at two significant Tehuelche archaeological sites. At "El Picadero," we'll delve into the methods used to craft agricultural and hunting tools, followed by a visit to a Chenque Cemetery, where we'll explore ancient funerary practices along with other intriguing aspects of Tehuelche culture. We aim to return to Coyhaique by midday, allowing for a relaxing afternoon to enjoy the remainder of the day.
