We will depart from our hotel in Pucón early in the morning, at the agreed time, to embark on a day filled with adventure. This journey will lead us into the natural marvel of one of the world's Most Active Volcanoes, right at the heart of Araucanía.
Our adventure begins at the base of the awe-inspiring Rukapillán Volcano, also known as the Villarrica Volcano, which stands as the most active volcano in Chile and South America, reaching an elevation of 2,847 meters.
We will commence our ascent of the volcano at a comfortable and safe pace. The entire climb takes approximately 5 hours, with the descent lasting around 2.5 hours. This excursion is suitable for the whole family, provided participants are over 12 years old and in good physical condition.
As we progress along the volcano's trails, we will be enveloped in a world of volcanic rocks, snow, and ice.
As we approach the summit, the view becomes increasingly breathtaking, revealing stunning sights of various lakes, such as Villarrica, Calafquén, Huelipilum, Pellaifa, and Caburgua.
Upon reaching the top, we will be rewarded with a 360-degree panoramic view, encompassing mountains, lakes, and forests. We can also observe surrounding volcanoes, including Lanín, Lonquimay, Quetrupillán, Choshuenco, and Llaima.
The volcano's crater, with its active fumarole, will remind us of nature's power and the wonder of this achievement. Depending on its activity level, we may approach as close as 600 meters to 1 km.
